Sammyredtail is excited that the (urp)Los(urgh)Angeles(groan)Angels of Anahiem are the best team in the American League West, quite possibly the best team amongst both leagues(fans of other teams are welcome to enter in their own comments)for this season. Meanwhile Shimmeringstar on the other hand is less than happy that the Arizona Diamondbacks are in the cellar of the NL West(better luck next season^^) and sticks his tongue out at his American League fan counterpart, both are dressed in baseball gear of their respective favorite teams. Heres to the Angels and hoping they face the Dodgers in their first ever freeway world series.(just need to beat either the A's again or the Royals first)
comments are welcome^^

oh yeah an editorial- I really get PO'd when I refer to the Angels as "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" a couple of points I'd like to make-
1.The City of Anaheim,California last time I checked has never been anywhere near or within the city or county of Los Angeles.
2. I know that the Angels had been an Los Angeles baseball team since 1961 to 1966 afterwards they moved to their current stadium in Anahiem and were known as the "California Angels" which I am ok with should they rename the team back to that(news has it that they might build a stadium in Tustin,California(thats a bit farther south in Orange County ) anyways they again changed their location name to "Anaheim" after the Mouse(Disney) gave them lots of money so they could use the team to make a movie around it("Angels in The Outfield") then Finally the mayor of Los Angeles used his influence to tack on "Los Angeles" to the beginning of the Angeles and pushed "Anahiem" to the end.I understand if the mayor wanted to make the team inclusive, but you can kinda see how wrong that sounds, plus in spanish its translated "The The Angels Angels of Anahiem.well I'm done ranting, your welcome to have differing opinions on the issue,I'm interested on what you viewers and baseball fans think.
